Summary of Tape No 193 24 August 1980 "You Are Living All Lives" |
In this session, Bartholomew expanded on a provocative statement he had made previously that suggested everyone is living each other's lives.
Bartholomew elucidated that it doesn't mean identical experiences, such as shared illnesses, but rather a participation in the same overarching life, obscured by the veil of individualized senses that create an illusion of separateness. This oneness implies that problems perceived in others are reflections of one's own issues, often clouded by the ego's desire to remain distinct and justified while keeping problematic aspects at arm's length. The pursuit of freedom, according to Bartholomew, requires embracing all aspects of humanity and the divine extension of being, reaching a state where no entity or issue is excluded from one's being. Ultimately, Bartholomew emphasized meditation and moment-to-moment awareness as vital tools for tearing down the ego's web and realizing the interconnectedness of all lives, past, present, and future, as an experiential truth rather than mere intellectual understanding. |
