Why are you receiving this message?
My name is J.J. Surbeck. I have the singular honor of having been entrusted by Mary-Margaret Moore with the task of converting all the cassette tapes in existence made in the years during which Bartholomew spoke through her into .mp3 electronic files. The main reason for this project? Cassette tapes have a life span of about 50 years, after which they start to decay, with the risk that their content gets lost to posterity. Do the maths: Bartholomew spoke between 1978 and 1995, and some tapes are already showing their age.
You are receiving this message because I have been in touch with you at one point or another in the last few years. If you didn't sign up yourself, I took the liberty to sign you up to this mailing list on the assumption that you would like to be kept informed on the progress of this large project. If that is not the case, please accept my apologies and either let me know you wish to be taken off this list or just click on the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of this message.
What has been done so far?
So far, a certain number of converted tapes have been added to the web site I created to that effect at BartholomewMaterial.com. As the conversion of additional tapes progresses, more will be added that will be announced in this newsletter (see below) at (hopefully) regular intervals. Much remains to be done before all the tapes are converted and made available to the public.
Missing tapes
Even though I am now in possession of most of the existing tapes, a detailed inventory has shown that there are still quite a few missing, the list of which can be found on this page: missing tapes. If anyone knows of a cache of forgotten Bartholomew tapes hidden in an attic or a basement, or else in a private collection that the owner(s) wouldn't mind transferring for the benefit of this project, please contact me at info@bartholomewmaterial.com. I will be glad to cover shipping costs.
Recently added tapes
The following list of tapes was recently uploaded. Clicking on each title will take you directly to the corresponding audio file that you can then listen to at your leisure or download for later listening. Forgive the apparent disorganization since the numbers are not always in sequential order, but as mentioned on the web site, priority has been given to the tapes with the best audio quality. The gaps in beween will be filled progressively as the missing ones are added.
